Job Description

Job Summary:

One of our top clients in the healthcare industry is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of data platforms, data governance, and analytics projects. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by transforming data strategy while building a high-performance, scalable, and resilient platform.

The successful candidate will manage projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards. This role requires close collaboration with business leaders, vendors, data scientists, data engineers, data architects, and IT professionals to align projects with business objectives and implement effective data governance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

  • Plan, execute, and successfully deliver complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with key stakeholders.
  • Drive project strategy and ensure alignment with business priorities.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and manage relationships with executives, clients, and vendors.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee resource allocation to ensure appropriate skillsets and capabilities are applied throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with functional leads to ensure resource availability and utilization.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure project success despite potential challenges.

Budget & Financial Management:

  • Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Approve budget changes while maintaining financial constraints.

Project Execution & Delivery:

  • Oversee project execution to meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements.
  • Track and report progress, making necessary adjustments for success.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Process Improvement & Methodology:

  • Implement and refine project management methodologies to enhance project delivery.
  • Promote best practices for efficient execution, ensuring consistency and quality.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all project deliverables.

Communication & Reporting:

  • Develop and deliver project status reports, risk assessments, and critical communications.
  • Ensure transparency with accurate and timely updates on project progress.

Value Delivery & ROI:

  • Track key success metrics to ensure projects deliver value and meet ROI expectations.
  • Work with senior leadership to align projects with broader business goals.

Change Management:

  • Manage scope changes, ensuring they are properly assessed and integrated into project plans.
  • Lead change communication efforts to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8-10+ years in project management, with experience leading large-scale software projects.
  • 5+ years working with data governance policies and procedures (data quality, security, and privacy).
  • 5+ years of experience with data platform technologies, including:
  • Data warehousing
  • Data lakes
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Cloud-based platforms
  • Healthcare industry experience (preferred).
  • Experience with HL7, FHIR, and patient data platforms (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Workday, and MuleSoft (preferred).

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
