Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pizza Maker to join our team at our bustling pizza shop. As a Pizza Maker, you will play a vital role in preparing and crafting delicious pizzas while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

Pizza Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and hand-stretch pizza dough to achieve the desired thickness and texture.
Skillfully assemble and garnish pizzas with high-quality ingredients according to customer preferences and menu specifications.
Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment to cook pizzas to perfection.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure pizzas are cooked evenly and maintain consistent quality.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.

Menu Knowledge and Customization: Familiarize yourself with our pizza menu, toppings, and specialty offerings.
Offer suggestions and recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
Accommodate customizations and dietary requests, such as gluten-free or vegan options.
Ensure accurate and efficient communication with the front-of-house staff to fulfill orders promptly.

Quality Control and Presentation: Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure pizzas are visually appealing and meet our quality standards.
Monitor ingredient freshness and quality, rotating stock as necessary.
Follow recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure pizzas are prepared to perfection and address any inconsistencies promptly.

Kitchen Maintenance and Cleanliness: Keep workstations clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
Follow proper cleaning procedures for kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
Assist in routine kitchen maintenance tasks, such as inventory management and restocking supplies.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe handling of knives, ovens, and hot surfaces.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely service.
Support and assist colleagues during peak hours or when necessary.
Contribute to a positive and harmonious work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pizza maker in a fast-paced restaurant or pizzeria.
  • Basic kitchen skills, including knife handling, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of different pizza dough stretching methods and techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
