Job Summary:
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness. The Kitchen Manager manages kitchen staff and is responsible for inventory management, scheduling, and budgeting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Manage inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
*Hire, train, and schedule kitchen staff
*Streamline kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times
*Work with General Manager to develop and maintain the restaurant menu
*Set regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verify staff is maintaining sanitation levels
*Create schedules for all kitchen staff
*Track kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste
Skills and Qualifications:
*Strong restaurant knowledge and experience in the food service industry
*Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff
*Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers
*Conflict resolution skills to handle disagreements between staff members
*Attention to detail to ensure food quality and safety standards are met
*Financial understanding to manage inventory and track kitchen finances
*Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet
Education and Experience Requirements:
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Relevant experience in the culinary industry*Certification in safe food handling (Serve safe certification)
Salary Expectations:
The salary for a Kitchen Manager at LeeAngelo's is $44,999 per year.
Additional wages: Holiday Bonuses and tips
Working Conditions:
Kitchen Managers work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. They are required to work long hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. They may be exposed to high temperatures, sharp equipment, and hazardous chemicals.
