About the job Kennel Technician Job Title: Kennel Technician Location: NW Oklahoma City Shift Options: AM Shift (7:00 AM - 2:00 PM) or PM Shift (2:00 PM - 9:00 PM) Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour, increasing to $10.25 per hour after 30 days Job Description: We are looking for compassionate and responsible Kennel Technicians to join our team in NW Oklahoma City. This role offers both morning and afternoon shifts, making it ideal for individuals with different scheduling needs. No prior experience is required, but a genuine love for animals is essential. The position demands someone who is in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and walk extensively. Key Responsibilities: Feeding & Watering: Provide all dogs with fresh food and water. Medication Administration: Administer medications brought in with dogs according to instructions. Dog Walking: Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, maintaining control at all times. Monitoring: Keep track of food and water consumption, noting any irregularities. Waste Management: Scoop and properly dispose of waste, both indoors and outdoors. Kennel Cleaning: Regularly clean kennels to ensure a hygienic living space for the dogs. Daily Cleaning: Sweep and mop all areas daily to maintain cleanliness. Grounds Maintenance: Perform light maintenance tasks around the facility. Dog Bathing: Bathe dogs as needed to keep them clean and comfortable. Punctuality & Dependability: Show up for your shift on time and as scheduled unless prior approval is given. Safety Awareness: Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both the animals and you. Physical Requirements: This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to bend, lift, squat, and walk for long periods.
