We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our technology strategy and innovation efforts from our Los Angeles headquarters with a flexible hybrid work model.

Position Overview

The CIO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading all aspects of Wilshire Law Firm’s technology vision and IT operations. This role will drive digital transformation, enhance cybersecurity, ensure systems scalability, and foster a culture of innovation across the firm. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong background in enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance, particularly within professional services or legal environments.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Strategy & Vision: Develop and implement a forward-looking IT roadmap aligned with the firm’s business objectives and growth strategy.
• Digital Transformation: Lead the modernization of legacy systems and oversee the implementation of cloud-based and AI-driven legal technologies.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure the firm’s cybersecurity posture meets or exceeds industry standards, including data privacy and regulatory compliance (e.g., CCPA, GDPR).
• Enterprise Systems Oversight: Manage and optimize ERP, CRM, case management platforms, and other business-critical applications.
• Leadership & Team Building: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT department capable of supporting ongoing innovation and operational excellence.
• Collaboration & Communication: Partner with executive leadership and department heads to identify and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency and client experience.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Oversee IT budgets, vendor negotiations, and procurement to maximize ROI.
• Risk Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior-level role such as CIO or VP of IT.
• Proven success in leading enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience in infrastructure, cloud technologies, data governance, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Expertise in legal technology platforms and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, CCPA).
• Demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with strategic business goals.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
