Job Description

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a punctual individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates guests for life. This individual will also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating, garnishing of cooked items, and preparing food for events ranging from 50-400 guests. Cook II has a little experience in all stations but may be limited or their expertise is in one or two stations.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work independently and have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while having a team player attitude and work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form.
  • Demonstrate advanced knife skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others of varying skill levels.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Effectively demonstrate proper plate presentation including garnish setup for all dishes for weddings and events.
  • Adheres to proper portioning and follows proper recipe specifications, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to get all prep done in a timely and efficient manner while following established recipes and specs.
  • Must communicate with staff and management team efficiently.
  • General knowledge and application of sanitary practices and maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including all surfaces and equipment.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen manager or manager on duty.
